Weekends, friends and Autumn

I basically live for the weekends. For days where I can do what I want and wear what I want, whether that is having an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party or just sitting at home watching Downton Abbey on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately weekends come and go so quickly and when you have to sit through a tough five days of school for the next one they are very precious.  This one has been very nice, full of friends and fun times.

So as it's nearly October I have an Autumn outfit for you today.

I found this adorable little spot near my house with a small stand alone tree in the middle of a field, it's a perfect picture taking spot.

Big shout-out to my friends Rachel and Fionnula for taking the pictures. Check out their blogs and give them a follow!

Autumnal Makeup

It's Autumn! Today I was supporting a green woolen cardigan and a maroon bowler hat, very autumnal. Today I have an Autumn makeup look. I love wearing red lipsticks at this time of year as well as berry shades. For my eyeshadow I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I love the pinky shades and they suit my light skin tone.

 Here is what I used:

Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette -  I used Dust as a base, and used Buzz and Liar blended in the crease.
I used a little bit of Natural Collection blush in Pink Cloud.

The Body Shop Smokey 2 in 1 Gel liner* in brown/black. I have always used liquid liners everyday until I tried this gel liner. It's one of my new favourites for winged eyeliner. I also like the way its not completely black therefore a little more subtle.
Naked Basics in Naked 2 for my eyebrows, it's my usual one.

I used a bit of Rimmel Stay Matte Powder just to keep everything in place.
I also wore my usual Collection concealer (which isn't in the best shape).

For mascara I am wearing Benefit They're Real Mascara. I have a love/hate relationship with this mascara, I like the length it give my lashes but it is so difficult to get off.
I also popped on a bit of Urban Decay's Primer Potion on my lids.

The lipstick I wore was L'Oreal Color Riche in Rouge.

I used a lot of high end products in this post so maybe next time I will do a drugstore only makeup look.

September blues

It's getting colder, days are getting shorter, school work is building up. It does mean I can wear tights and boots and jumpers everyday again! Wearing tights with shorts is basically what I wear everyday in the Autumn/Winter.

In this outfit I am wearing my usual adorable dolly shoes and a checked shirt from Penneys.

(I took these photos back in July, hence the flowers.)

Shirt ~ Penneys/Primark
Shoes ~ Penneys/Primark
Rings ~ H&M
Hoodie ~ Penneys/Primark
Necklace ~ (Friendship necklace)
Shorts ~ Bershka

I hope you enjoyed this little outfit post!

England Haul 2014

I was in different parts of England for pretty much the whole of August and I managed to pick up a few clothing bits and bobs. Here's what I bought:

First was Primark which I browsed in a couple different places. I bought these shoes which are right up my street, cute and doll-like double strap t-bars. I love them! They are quite similar to my red ones.

Next is this fabulous Midi Skirt also from Primark. I love the monochrome pattern and it's got a small slit at the side.

Next from Primark I picked up this simple polkadot vest top because I love polkadots so much!!

I have a severe weakness for frilly socks. They are so cute! And they go great with ankle boots or my dolly shoes. The navy pair is from Primark and the mint is from New Look.

While browsing the New Look sales I came across this gorgeous denim jacket for only £10! It's a size 12 but I think it's really nice oversized.

I have mentioned before that I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to films, books and TV series'. Ever since I was little I have adored Harry Potter so I couldn't resist this Hogwarts t-shirt in New Look. I wore it to the Harry Potter Studios in London (Post here).

Whenever I go to Sheffield I always go to charity shops because they are just so good there, way better than the tiny ones near! I picked up three items, a simple floral vest top, a pint tartan dress (Originally Primark) andthis black and while dress (Also originally Primark). It's amazing what you can find in charity shops!

At Summer In The City I bought this Dan and Phil T-shirt after standing in the rain for three hours outside.

It was also my birthday while I was over there and my lovely brother bought me this top from Brick Lane in London, I love the lollipops, they are so cute! (I have overused the word cute in this post).

I picked up these circle sunglasses, also from New Look (I'm a New Look addict). They are sort of tiger print style.

And last of all is a Harry Potter Studios wand! I mentioned it in this post so check it out.

I'm bought some other bits and pieces but not really blog worthy and I don't like the idea of birthday hauls (I just showed the top). I hope you like the post! I'm trying to post more often but the schedule is still up side down.
Until the next time,

Favourite Autumn nails

Summer is over, school has begun and Autumn is once again upon us. The really don't like the thought of cold mornings getting up for school or it being dark at 5 but I do love the dark colours and layered clothes as well as cosy Sunday evenings watching Downton Abbey on the sofa. Those are the days! Here are my favourite Autumn nail polish colours this year.

A red polish is essential for Autumn. This Bourjois one in "Rouge Escarpin" is great! Just like red leaves falling off a tree.

I just love this berry colour. It's just such a lovely shade of purple. Barry M in "Berry Cosmo".

Next on my favourites this year is Elf's "Skinny Jeans"*. It's a gorgeous dark blue shade, it's even darker on the nails.

Here I have another Barry M one in "Foil Effects". This one is great for both Autumn and Winter as the cold foil-like effect really reminds me of Christmas.

And last is Paese "348"*. This teal colour can be both a Spring/Summer and an Autmn/Winter colour. It's sort of half way between a mint and a teal and I love pastels so I don't totally want to cut them out of my life.

Apologies it took so long for a new post, I forgot how much of a hassle school can be. I also got a new camera and it's great, I can't wait to do some look books.
