OOTD - "It's Time"

An outfit of the day for you peeps! It's a strange mix between grunge and prep which seems to be pretty day-to-day for me. I have no idea what my style would actually be if I were to put it into words because it is constantly changing.

Also beware for a bit of blabbering in this post.

I've had a lot of thinking time recently and I've been feeling really down and frustrated with myself. I am determine to try and be better and do the best I can with things. For me best cure for sadness is music. "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons is one of my favourite feel-good songs.

Events of the last few days have really made me want to be more confident. Being shy really holds my back and it's one thing I hate about myself. I wish I was able to just put myself out there without worrying about what people will think of me. Being shy is like a fear of failure, a fear of saying the wrong thing and messing up. It's incredibly frustrating because most of the time my mind is buzzing with things I want to say but can't. It's like someone zipped my lips together and then anything I do say is all crooked and wrong. I often rehearse what I want to say but then end up saying something  that doesn't even make sense. It even comes out in things I am writing making me absolutely shoddy at English.

 Spring is coming!

Back to the outfit! The jeans are from Only and were a fabulous bargain at only €10 in the sale! I've been dying for a black acid wash pair of jeans like these for ages and these are perfect!  I never normally wear jeans because they tend to be really uncomfortable but these are so nice.

I went all out with the accessories in this outfit. Most of the bands were either free at events or gifts so I'm not sure where they are from. As for the rings, the blue one was from a vintage market in London and the others are Penneys and H&M.

The cardigan and shirt are both from Penneys/Primark.

The shoes are my trusty New Look boots which I wear all the time.  The necklace was a gift from my friend Sorcha.

Shoes - New Look
Jeans -  Only
Cardigan - Penneys/Primark
Shirt - Penneys/Primark
Rings - H&M and Penneys
Earrings - Penneys/Primark.

One more thing, I did a 2015 bucket list a few weeks ago and recently I found one I made last year. I was actually really happy that I completed everything on it even though most of the things were Harry Potter and Sherlock related:

My dogs are such photo-bombers!

    1. Visit 221b Baker Street  - I did this in November. I love being able to say that I was there even though it wasn't actually that amazing.

      2. Visit the Harry Potter Studios - I did this back in August. Best. Day. Ever! Definitely worth the visit for any Potterheads out there! I did a blog post about it here.

    3.  Go to Summer In the City -This was such an incredible experience! I am going again this year and can't wait! I also did a post about this.

     4.  Go to Platform 9 and 3/4 in Kings Cross station - I saw it... and the  queue behind it and decided not to go up to the half-a-trolly-glued-to-a-wall-with-a-guy-giving-out-scarves-for-a-photo. It was pretty rubbish, I mean it wasn't even between platform 9 and 10!

    5. Visit more places - I went to England in February to visit family, I went to Spain in June to visit my adorable friend Sofia, England again in August and again in November for my London trip. I can't wait to see more of the world this year.

I saw this adorable little bird while taking these pictures, he didn't even seem to mind having his photo taken either.

I chatted a lot in this post, sorry. It kind of turned into an update post. Thanks for reading! I hope you liked the outfit!

OOTD: A sunny day in January

I'm back again with another outfit from last week when it stopped raining/snowing/hailing and the sun came out. I was able to go outside without wearing four layers of clothing. Today however I was caught out in a hail storm on my way back from school and I had to shelter behind my schoolbag in the middle of the road. It was a funny sight. I was also wearing nylon tights and now have hundreds of little red dots on my legs. Most of January has been like this. It's not even that cold, it's just constantly miserable.
Most people say that talking about the weather is only used when you have nothing else to say but it seems like in Ireland we are constantly talking about it. It's either cold and wet and everyone's complaining or warm and wet and everyone's complaining. I like the way it's so unpredictable sometimes, it makes life that little bit more exciting than it was before. The sound of a howling storm outside and the tip-tapping of the rain rocks me to sleep at night. Still, I do love a bit of sunshine.

I wear this kind of outfit most days when I don't have school. It's so comfy and warm. I love wearing slouchy jumpers and cardigans like this one, which I found in Forever 21 the other day. It was €20 I believe, also I like the way it is red with blue bits of thread.

My dogs saw a bird and got excited. They love being in the camera.

The necklace is an old pocket watch on a chain, the watch doesn't work anymore but I like wearing it. The shorts are from Zara and the top is a simple top from Penneys.

Cardigan - Forever 21
Shorts - Zara
Top - Penneys
Socks - Penneys
Shoes - Schuh
Necklace - (Old)

I wish I got more shots of the outfit, especially some close-ups but unfortunately I stupidly forgot to charge it and it ran out of power. The shoes are my wonderful Rocket Dog shoes from Schuh which are my school shoes but I wear them all the time anyway. Black socks over tights have a lovely look.

I hope you enjoyed my post and have a lovely evening! I shall be drifting off to the sound of rain hammering against my window!

OOTD ~ Midnight epiphanies

Recently I've been feeling drained, with no energy and no ideas. Personally I blame school. The other night while trying to get to sleep later than I should be on a school night my mind was suddenly full of ideas. This often happens to me but mainly in the Summer and leaves me with a buzzing feeling the next day even if I can't remember everything. Anyone else get this?

Anyway back to the outfit. I seriously love wearing maroon in Autumn and this is one of my favourite jumpers. The outfit is simple yet I really like how it turned out. Casual yet slightly formal with the wedges.

The jumper itself is from New Look, I bought it last Winter while Christmas shopping.

Boots ~ Penneys/Primark
Legwarmers ~ I actually have no idea I've had these for ages.

Skirt ~ I bought it in an independent shop which is now closed.
Jumper ~ New Look
tights ~ Probably Penneys/Primark.

Thank you to Fionnula and Rachel for the pictures.

Exciting things to come!

Weekends, friends and Autumn

I basically live for the weekends. For days where I can do what I want and wear what I want, whether that is having an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party or just sitting at home watching Downton Abbey on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately weekends come and go so quickly and when you have to sit through a tough five days of school for the next one they are very precious.  This one has been very nice, full of friends and fun times.

So as it's nearly October I have an Autumn outfit for you today.

I found this adorable little spot near my house with a small stand alone tree in the middle of a field, it's a perfect picture taking spot.

Cardigan ~ Penneys/Primark

Big shout-out to my friends Rachel and Fionnula for taking the pictures. Check out their blogs and give them a follow!

Rings ~ H&M and Penneys/Primark
Bracelets ~ Primark and other ones unknown ones

(Shout-out to my photo bombing dogs)

Hat ~ H&M
Dress ~ Primark/Penneys

 Boots ~ Penneys/Primark

 Necklace ~ Handmade gift

I hope you enjoyed reading this. I have a lifestyle post coming on my Alice in Wonderland tea party very soon.

September blues

It's getting colder, days are getting shorter, school work is building up. It does mean I can wear tights and boots and jumpers everyday again! Wearing tights with shorts is basically what I wear everyday in the Autumn/Winter.

In this outfit I am wearing my usual adorable dolly shoes and a checked shirt from Penneys.

(I took these photos back in July, hence the flowers.)

Shirt ~ Penneys/Primark
Shoes ~ Penneys/Primark
Rings ~ H&M
Hoodie ~ Penneys/Primark
Necklace ~ (Friendship necklace)
Shorts ~ Bershka

I hope you enjoyed this little outfit post!
