It's been a while...

Hello! It's been a long time since I've been on here. I've had my longest break from blogging since I restarted my blog over a year ago. I haven't blogged in over a month. At the beginning it was just that I couldn't think of any ideas and then I just kept putting it off. The longer I put it off the harder it was to write again.

As it's Spring and I see these cuties everywhere!

I've been very focused on other things at the moment. As well as having exams coming up I made my first short film which I am really excited about. I'd like to do more about film-making on here as recently I have discovered a passion for it and want to pursue it in university. I am currently building up a portfolio.

Behind the scenes!

I also want to change what I write about on here slightly. I usually write basic beauty and fashion posts (don't worry I will still do this) but I want to focus more on lifestyle, travel and photography. I'd love to do film reviews and perhaps post films that I make.

Hopefully I will have another post up soon! Possibly an outfit one.

OOTD: Spring is here!

Saturday was one of the first days this year that I could wander outside with just a t-shirt and not freeze. Birds are chirping, daffodils and bluebells are blooming, leaving a lovely freshness in the air.  Spring has finally arrived.

My favourite thing about Spring is the flowers. With flowers come spring floral patterns and pastels! In Autumn and Winter I wear black and dark colours nearly everyday but the moment spring arrives I switch back to pastel florals and whites.

It was such a beautiful day when I took these pictures!

I recently bought a pair of 1950's inspired cigarette trousers from Missguided. I've been looking for a pair for ages, inspired by the late 50's fashion of Call the Midwife as well as icons such as Marylin Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. The trousers are perfect for Spring/Summer as they are light and really comfortable as well as being a lovely shade of baby blue!

I have also been loving Rimmel's Provocalips which is so bright and lasts so long!

Short people problems - having to roll up trousers about five times.

The trousers also came with this black belt which really completes them.

I was given this adorable elephant bracelet at the #CorkBlogMeet15. It's by Daisy-Mae Jewellery and it's so pretty! I've been really keen on dainty jewellery recently.

I bought these boots in a New Look sale recently. They are really nice and comfortable and also have a nice wedge which is great if you are as small as me for that extra bit of height.

Boots ~ New Look

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

#CorkBlogMeet15 Goodie bags!

In February I attended the #CorkBlogMeet15 and we were each given so much by brands to try out or review and I can't wait to try it all out! I might also throw in a few first impressions from products I've tried.
(Disclaimer - everything here was gifted to me would be marked with *)

Firstly from Debenhams I received:
1.Taylor Swift bag.
2. Dolce and Gabbana leather tablet case.

3. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - body treatment.
4. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - skin protectant.
5. Elizabeth Arden Skin Balancing exfoliating cleanser.
6. Elizabeth Arden makeup bag.
7. Lancome Youth Activating Concentrate.
8. Various perfume samples including ones by Givenchy, Gucci, Juicy Couture and Hugo boss.
9. Britney Spears clutch.
10. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye-Pencil in Loaded - It's a gorgeous dark green and I've tried it a few times and  it's gorgeous and lasts all day!
11. Urban Decay eyeshadow in Secret Service.

We also got a €50 Debenhams voucher and with it I bought:
12. Urban Decay Naked palette - I have been wanting this for such a long time! I got the 3rd one last year and it's incredible so I can't wait to start using the colours in this!
13. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Venom -This is a lovely berry purple. It's matte but isn't drying. I'm just obsessed with the colour.

Next are products from The Body Sop, MeMeMe and IsaDora:
14. The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes 31.
15. The Body Shop Colour Crush nail polish in Mad About Blue.
16. MeMeMe The Ultimate Eye Palette in Classic.
17. MeMeMe Long Lasting Glass in 78 Ambitious.
18. MeMeMe nail file.
19. IsaDora Nude Sensation Fluid Foundation in 10 Nude Porcelain - This foundation looks so nice and has a wonderful applicator but unfortunately is too dark for my pale white skin.
20. IsaDora Face Sculpture Brush.
21. IsaDora Flashing Volume Mascara - I've tried it and I think it makes a really good bottom last mascara as the wand is really fine but it's quite difficult for the top lashes.
22. IsaDora Eye Colour Bar.
23. IsaDora Face Sculptor - this comes with a blusher, bronzer and highlighter. I just think it is wonderful, the shades are gorgeous!
24. IsaDora Colour Correcting Concealer

The last items are ones that Zoë from Zoë with Umlauts, who organised the event, put together.

25. Visiscal Hair Growth Starter Kit.
26. Dreams Dots spot treatment.

#CorkBlogMeet15 - Blogger Meetup

A week and a half ago I was lucky enough to attend a blogger meetup in Cork organised by the lovely Zoë. I went to one before last July organised by Sarah and Fiona. It was such a good day and I was delighted to hear about another one!

The day started off in Debenhams with delicious pastries and drinks as well as some lovely goodie bags and prizes. We were also told about Debenhams' personal shopper experience as well as current perfume collections. We each received a €50 Voucher which was so generous of them!

We were then given demonstrations at the Elizabeth Arden, Urban Decay and Clarins stand. Everyone at Debenhams was so lovely and helpful. With my €50 voucher I bought Urban Decay Naked palette and an Urban Decay lipstick but I will soon have a post about all the goodie bags from throughout the day.

Next we went to The Body Shop where we had another demo and looked around at their different ranges. They did a yellow and orange spring look which was really pretty and bright eyeshadow colours are something I really want to start wearing!

 The cocktails were yum!

Our final destination was Suas cocktail bar where we had demonstrations from Inglot, MeMeMe and Isadora. We were shown several of their gorgeous products (as well as getting a few to take home with us) and Isadora bought cocktails for everyone!

It was so lovely meeting everyone and discovering new bloggers. Thank you SO much to Debenhams, The Body Shop, Inglot, MeMeMe and Isadora for all the generous gifts and demonstrations! And a massive thank you to Zoë for organising such an incredible day, it went so well, the goodie bags we amazing and clearly a lot of work had been put into it!

Posts to come soon with goodie bags from the day as well as an OOTD.

Photos: The calm evening sea

I want to start a blog series based on photographs that I take. I love photography even though I'm though I'm only a beginner. Images can just say so much more than words sometimes.

These are just a few photos I took on a beautiful calm evening recently. I just love the way the gold light hit the water.

I want to do posts like this more often!
