What's in my holiday makeup bag?
When this post is scheduled I will be on a plane to Spain. I've been busy packing and I thought I would do a "What's in my makeup bag" holiday edition post. I'm never one for travelling light but only bringing this much is still an achievement for me. I know I'm probably not going to wear half of it. Here's what I brought:
1. Naked Basics Palette - it's a travel essential.
2. NV Chunky Lip Crayon in "Kinky Pink" for a bright lip.
3. Collection Lasting perfection concealer - it's my go-to concealer.
4. Sleek Blush in "Coral" - best summer blush.
5. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder for those days where makeup is dripping off your face.
6. Benefit Coralista lip gloss - it's small and great for the summer
7.Maybelline Babylips in "Peach Kiss" - I just love these and Peach Kiss is a lovely nude.
8. Natural Collection Blush in "Pink Cloud" - I don't really need 2 blushes but this one is pink and I don't know how to travel light.
9. Elf Lipgloss in "Candlelight" - This has got SPF 15 which is always handy with sun.
10. Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner - I'm addicted to cat flicks at the moment.
11. Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara - I was very good and only brought one mascara.
12. Rimmel Pencil Liner - Pretty basic eyeliner.
13. Benefit Porefessional - I'm just sampling it at the moment, I love what it does to your skin.
14. L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in "Scarlett Creme" - I only tend to wear red when going out but you never know.
15. Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in "On and On Bronze" - This is quick and easy, great for travelling.
16. Gosh Lipstick in Exotic - This is a bright orange and is great for summer.
Written out like that makes it seem like I brought a lot more than I did. I'm still going to be posting while I am away, with outfits and other holiday posts.

White summer dress and pastel pink
Some of my fashion inspiration comes from Cassie and Effy from Skins. They both dress completely opposite but I love the character's styles. This outfit is inspired by Cassie, I love her long pastel dresses and skirts as well as socks and dolly/mary jane shoes. I found this lovely sleeveless smock dress in Penneys a few weeks ago and it really reminds me of Cassie's style.
Jumper ~ New Look. I know I wear this jumper a lot but it's like my favourite piece of clothing ever.
Dress ~ Primark/Penneys
My dogs just love being in the photos.
Socks ~ Primark/Penneys
And finishing off with a lovely photo of wildflowers because they are just so photogenic.

Little Summer Beauty Wishlist
Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner - You have probably heard the hype about the new They're Real eyeliner. It's a gel liner but according to reviews it hugs the lash line and stays on really well. I want to try it although the price puts me off.
Barry M Touch of Magic Lip Paint - This is probably one of the strangest lip products out there. It looks green but it changes a different pink on everyone's lips. It's seems a fun thing and I'm just really curious to see what colour it turns out on me.
Revlon ColorBust Matte Balm - Mischievous and Shameless are my favourites. Mischievous is a deep purple, which is a colour I avoid because it's really strong and different for me as I normally go for reds or pinks. Shameless is a lovely orange-nude which is a really nice summery shade.
Invisible hair bobble - They may look a little odd but I've read a couple of reviews and they sound really useful! I normally keep my hair down and when I do put it up, especially in a messy bun or anything like that I end up taking it down because I have a headache. I want to try it out to see if it does what it says.
Tony and Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray - I have never tried sea salt spray before but I love the effect it gives. I love Tony & Guy products and I know people who like this one.

Sunshine and wildflowers
A little heatwave has struck! The sun is out and the rain is gone! Let's celebrate!
June is my favourite time of year. The long days, the flowers in bloom, warm weather, the beginning of summer. I went for a short walk today and ended up taking over a hundred photos. I want to share a few photos and what I was wearing.
I am no professional and I only have an amateur camera but I still love taking pictures.
I hope you liked the pictures

Ecotools ~ Brushes for beginners
I got these brushes last August. I was looking for cheap and simple makeup brushes. I was very new to using makeup properly and reading blogs etc. I still feel like a newbie but I do know a bit about makeup.
This set of brushes is great for any beginner or student on budget. The set, which I bought in England, cost around £16 which is great for makeup brushes considering it often costs more than that to buy one brush. They cover the essentials for day-to-day makeup.
Blush Brush - This brush is so soft! I use it for blush, although I don't wear blush everyday. I can also be used for powder although I rarely wear powder.
Concealer Brush - I use this brush for covering spots and blemishes and not much else as I prefer using my fingers for concealer under the eyes but that is just personal preference.
Angled Eyeliner - This is amazing! It say's it's an eyeliner brush but I use it for eyeshadow lining my eyes as well as eyebrows. It has multiple uses and I use it everyday. Definitely great for beginners and non-beginners alike.
Lash and Brow Groomer - I have to be honest and say that I never use this brush. I have very controlled eyebrows that don't need grooming and I don't really bother much with my eyelashes.
Eye Shadow - This brush is just a very simple flat eyeshadow brush for the lid. It's a bit dirty in the picture (sorry). It's basic and does the job although I would recommend investing in a separate blending brush .
Thanks for reading! I hope this post has been helpful to someone in someway. Has anyone else tried Ecotools?

OOTD: River walking
While taking photos for our blogs a while ago with my friend Rachel, we went river-walking near her house. It was so much fun even though my wellies weren't quite high enough and ended up becoming water buckets. I love doing stuff like this, it's fun and it was quite difficult to get to the river, quite an adventure going through multiple barbed wire fences and fields full of cows.
The wellies are actually my sisters and I'm not sure where they are from. I think Lidl or something but they go well with my dress.
The dress is old, I've had it for a few years but I think it's by M&Co. I never really wear it and only found it recently at the back of my wardrobe and I really like the style.
Bracelets ~ Top one was a present and the pearls are from Primark
I am currently planning outfits for when I go to Spain in a few weeks and will share them soon. Anyone else going on holiday this year? Hope you liked this post!

Haul ~ Penneys, New Look and Boots
I have a haul post today from when I was in Penneys (Primark) in Killarney last weekend and I'm also adding in the few bits I got in Cork city the other day. I like reading/watching hauls as it gives you an insight into what's in shops at the moment although I know they aren't for everybody.
I've been wanting a kimono for some time now and I'm going to Spain in a couple weeks and they just look so lovely! This is from New Look and I believe it was €29.99. I'm also really liking dark florals at the moment.
This picture doesn't really do it justice but this dress looks gorgeous on. I will definitely put it in an outfit post soon or perhaps when I'm in Spain. It was €11 from Penneys.
I picked up two vest tops in white and mint green in Penneys because they are always handy and simple in many outfits. They were €2.50 each.
I got a pair of short Pyjamas in Penneys for the summer. They were €7 together.
Next I got this 3 piece necklace. I don't tend to wear necklaces too often and when I do it's always the same one or two. I think this was €3.
I am a very disorganised person. I hate throwing things away so I just get a build up of makeup and stuff to do DIY's with even though I probably won't get round to it. These two baskets which came together for €8 will hopefully be able to store things in my room to make it a bit more organised.
I went into Boots in Cork and only bought three things and I was very proud of myself! First I got the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer because my other one is empty. I picked up a Natural Collection Blush in "Pink Cloud". I have heard all good things from this blush so I am going to give it a go. And last I bought the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner pen as I am loving cat-eyes and liquid liner at the moment and I am in search of a good one, I have seen a lot of people talk about this and it goes on really nicely so I will have to wait and see.
Thanks for reading!

May Favourites
I tend to use the same products most of the time and don't have different favourites every month so I am not going to do favourite posts every month. I know this is going up a few days late but oh well!
Okay so the first thing I have been loving is The Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in "On and on bronze". I am a bit late to the party and only purchases this last month but now I know what all the hype was about. It really is amazing and is great for someone like me whose makeup never stays on my face. It really does last 24 hours. Plus the colour is lovely and can be used in a natural look or a bold night out look.
Next is liquid eyeliner pens in general. These are great for precise cat flicks which I have loved doing recently as it is less heavy than what I would normally do which is black pencil liner on my bottom lashes. The two I have are PS Love Felt Eye Liner Pen and the Essence Eyeliner Pen. The PS Love one (Top swatch) is really awful and just bleeds right out. My Essence one is better but it comes out quite faint and tends to smudge quite easily. I am currently on the look out for another one but I might try another type completely.
I only picked this up last week but I have worn it non-stop. I have been wearing it as a topcoat over different colours. In the picture I have it over Barry M's Prickly Pear (I have really horrible short nails and I am absolutely rubbish at putting on nail polish, not a great example). It makes nails look pastel/almost white and I really like pastels.
I bought the Garnier Micellar Cleansing water a couple months ago to try out and to see what the hype was about. Before I used Simple eye-makeup remover and cleanser but after using this I don't know if I will ever go back. This takes of makeup so easily and doesn't lave my skin red or irritated (Which has happened before which other products) because I have sensitive skin.
And last on my list are these Loafers from Penneys (Primark). I have been so used to wearing boots and converse for months that it's strange getting back into slightly more summery shoes. I got these last Autumn but haven't worn them much because to be honest they are not practical for an Irish winter which consists of storms and lots of rain. I just really like flat shoes like these at the moment and they go with a lot of outfits.
Thanks for reading :) Feel free to comment and let me know what you think!
