A Sunny Sunday OOTD

In the middle of all these rainy and foggy days there was a wonderful day that made me so excited for summer (I am always excited for summer). It was a perfect day for a quick walk to the sea and outfit photos!

I based the outfit around the shoes which I have been wanting for so long and I was in New Look on Wednesday and they were on sale in a size 3 (I'm actually a 4 but they are a big fit). I've been dying to do an outfit post for them for so long.

Shoes ~ New Look (In sale €22)
Socks ~ New Look

Shorts ~ New Look
Tank top ~ Tesco

Shirt ~ Primark/Penneys

  Sunglasses ~ Primark/Penneys
Earrings ~ Primark/Penneys

 Necklace ~ River Island

One useful thing about living in the middle of nowhere on the bottom tip of Ireland is that there is great scenery for outfit posts!

Spot the dog ^

I want to try and post more often and on regular days of the week from now on.

DIY: Notice board

So today I am doing another DIY post! Just like my first DIY I made this one a while ago. It's great for photos, reminders or postcards.
It follows a similar technique to my last DIY Jewellery organiser post here.

Materials:
~Thick cardboard
~Cushions or teddy-bear stuffing
~Fabric the same size as the cardboard
~Tape
~Stapler (optional)
~Needle and thread
~Ribbon
~7 buttons

Steps:
1. Using the same method as this DIY, attach the fabric to the cardboard using masking or duct tape with a thin layer of stuffing in between.
2. Place the ribbons over the board, crossing over the other ribbons at an angle. At the point of intersections of the ribbons, staple or sew the ribbons through the fabric and the board to keep the stuffing in place.
 3. Sew on buttons onto the ribbon intersection. The ones I am using are spares from a coat I used to have.

4. Attach a ribbon or hook the the back of it to hang it up to put it on top of a desk or bookshelf like me.

I keep it on top of my bookshelf next to my china-doll collection (don't ask).

Hope you liked it!

So I'm finally back with the last of my outfits from mid-term.

Hat ~ (It was a present so I don't know where it's from)
Scarf ~ Primark/Penneys
Jumper ~New Look
Jeans ~ Primark/Penneys
Shoes ~ Primark/Penneys

DIY: Simple Jewellery Organiser

Something different today: a DIY. I made a lot of things in my room including makeup and jewellery storage.
I made this a few months back and thought it would make a great DIY post. It's really simple to make and it can be made using stuff you have lying about at home.

Materials
~Fabric (around 30cm x 30cm)
~Soft toy or cushion stuffing (You can use cotton wool if you don't have any)
~Drawing pins and/or thumb-tacks
~Strong cardboard cut into a heart shape
~Masking tape (Or strong glue)
~Ribbon

Steps
1. Once you have your cardboard cut out, measure the fabric to fit around the cardboard. Make sure you leave enough extra fabric to go around the edges.
2. Put the stuffing in between the cardboard and the fabric. I made a little diagram to help (Above). Make sure you don't have too much stuffing or else the pins won't go all the way through

3. Attach the sides of the fabric to the back of the cardboard. I used masking tape although even though it is the back, it turned out very messy and it might be better to use glue.

4. Attach the pins anywhere on the heart. Make sure they go fully into the cardboard.

 5. Attach a ribbon to the back using tape or glue and find a place to hang it. Then you can put you necklaces onto it!

I use it for a lot of my jewellery. I have keyrings, bracelets, ribbons and necklaces on it. .

Mid-term outfit #4

I'm back with another mid-term OOTD! All these looks were from when I was staying in England for a week so I brought minimal clothes with me, the jumper and shoes were also in another one. Enjoy!

Jumper ~ New look
Shorts ~ Zara
Black Hoodie ~ Primark/Penneys (£5.90)
Shoes ~ Converse (Car boot sale €5)

These are the same shoes I wore in outfit #1. I only brought two pairs of shoes with me (I was very proud of that because normally I bring 5 pairs for a weekend away).
I'm a bit ill at the moment so I'm sorry about the lack of posts the last two days and the really short post today. I want to make a proper upload schedule soon and I also want to put up some DIY posts I've been planning.

Red lips and cat flicks makeup look

Beauty post today! I'm not that good at makeup looks but I thought I would give it a go. I often wear my makeup like this when I am going out. It's sophisticated and bold. It's also really quick and simple to do.
Products used:
-Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in 100 Ivory - I have very pale skin and I often find this one a little too dark for me. I rarely ever wear foundation. I normally just stick with concealer.
-Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - My makeup collection is relatively small. As is my brush collection so I haven't experimented with a lot of different foundation brushes but this one was raved about by everyone and I gave into to the peer pressure and bought it in the summer. Definitely worth it.
-L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche lipstick in 461 Scarlett Creme - This is my staple red lipstick. It lasts and the finish is gorgeous!
-Collection Lasting Perfection concealer - Oh how original!  Yep, a lot of the products I use have been raved about a lot in the beauty world. It is just amazing, it lasts so long and has really good coverage! I will say no more because this is nearly every beauty blogger's staple concealer.
-Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick - I find this really simple and handy. it's great for travelling because you don't need to bring brushes or a whole palette.
-Benefit They're Real mascara - Another raved about product! I just love it though. It's great for day-to-day use.
-P.S. Love Felt Eye Liner Pen - I've decided to try out the new range from Primark. I love trying out felt liquid liners because I can never find one that I actually like. This one is like most others, it doesn't last very long and smudges easily.

I wish both sides looked like this. The other one is very different.
My lipstick smudged around the edges before this photo and I didn't realise.

Mid-term outfits #2

Here's my second outfit from mid-term. It's one of my favourites!

 Skirt - Topshop (Buy Here)
Jumper - New Look (No longer available)
Shoes - Primark/Penneys
Ring - Primark/Penneys

I often pair my Topshop skater skirt with this pink jumper. They are pretty spring pastel colours even if it is still cold and you definitely still need to wear tights and boots with it.
